Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape - Counterfeits
These are very professional made counterfeits!
Two versions are known of: the "2007 version is not too hard to identify when looking for details, but the "2008 version" has perfectly copied artwork and is only good to identify while looking at the disc itself
2007 counterfeit:
- Slightly different front: the right wing of the butterfly is longer, the black line crosses the right wing on another point, black shadows on the upper left corner are different, the text "A collection..." has a different position relative to the bottom
- Different font used inside the booklet and on the disc itself
- Less detail on the back (printing artefacts) and differences in the perforations on the folds
- Disc has different printing quality, the position of the copyright text is slightly different and the font from the title is different
- A fake matrix number is used with a different font and different spacing. The real counterfeit matrix numbers are in very small print on/near the inner ring: IFPI LN46 and IFPI JCE1
2008 counterfeit:
- The "2008 version" has nearly perfect copied artwork,
- Different font for the matrix number (closer to width and size in lettering but it is not as bold as on original),
- Disc has different printing quality,
- The small letters from the "Compact Disc Logo" differ from the original (thicker)
- The "i" and the "d" from "Hit and Run Music (Publishing) Ltd," are faded.
- Inner band on disc is not close to silver but there is a gap,
- Four distinct black ticks on the outer edge, maybe 1/32 of an inch in length, on the NSEW points of the cd to line it up for burning purposes.
